Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Rin Vanderhaeghe and I am the author and artist of sweater eyes. This blog is about life, and about the struggles of a young woman trying to find her way in the world.. as a young artist, lover, explorer, creator. I have struggled with carving out my place in my surroundings, and reconciling the promises of my childhood with the reality of today. Do you do commissions or personalized orders?
Absolutely, I love creating unique products for people and am always willing to take on a challenge. E-mail me and we can discuss pricing and details. All custom orders will be process though my Etsy store. My E-mail is included at the bottom of this page.

As an artist, what mediums do you prefer/ work in the most?
I have always considered myself to be very flippant with what I want to work in, constantly changing between painting, sculpture, film, photography, writing, and basically any artist endeavour that I was interested in at the time.. However I think that I have grown to realize that I have simply have an interest in a broad array of art, approaches, mediums and styles, and so why restrict myself? All that being said, my “current” main interests are zine making (including sequential story telling), doll making, and my year long art/ sketch journal project.

Did you go to art school?
I studied at the University of Western Ontario from 2006-2010, and have received my Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts and Socio-cultural Anthropology.

You may use my images on your site, but only if it is for non-commercial uses. Please credit them, and offer a link back to my site.
