{do we really need a reason}

Normally I post funny Sailor Moon screen shots, or really pretty Sailor Moon screen shots.. but not normally unnecessarily sexy shots. Believe me, there are loads of screen shots of panties, cleavage, clothes being ripped off, possible rape etc.. but what makes this one shot so interesting is that it is not zoomed in. That is an image of just the full television screen; also, this literally flashes on the screen for a second, is not of any of the main characters, and the club scene lasts only a few seconds still. This is possibly the most unnecessary boob shot in the entire series.

{bitter-sweet}

Last weekend I found out about a bunch of bloggers and crafters who were putting on raffles in order to raise money for the Japanese relief efforts. Its times like this when I wish I was a little bit more established (soon, once Shock Stock happens all my efforts will be going towards online marketing, selling and organization) so that I could have also offered a raffle, but I did do the next best thing, donating and entering raffles (of course).

{click image to be directed to the organizer’s blog and full raffle list}

Although most (if not all) the raffles are done now, there is one being hosted on Jojo’s blog here. It is for a mother’s day bracelet or pendant.

Jojo also added up all the money raised, and these are the numbers (so I stole these numbers err):
US$ 1807.88
GB₤1031
AUS$ 1075

which all added up and converted into one currency is…
¥ 371,884 (or $4468.25 CAN)

===============================================================

So I entered a raffle on this blog.

I am pretty excited to be getting this bunch of goodies, lots of buttons, thread, yarn and even tea! Thank you fern for having such a lovely mix raffle, and thank you to all the other bloggers who held raffles and raised money. It is organization and group effort like this that makes me want to become part of the online crafting community.

But of course, all of this comes because of a disaster, so if you are reading this and have not donated some money to the Japanese relief efforts, please, every penny counts.

Current Japan Stats:
DEATH TOLL: 11,004 confirmed
MISSING: 17,339 people
#OF PEOPLE IN SHELTERS: 180,868
HOUSEHOLDS WITHOUT ELECTRICITY: 186,724
HOUSEHOLDS WITHOUT WATER: 360,000
(and these are all AT LEAST)

I suppose they never will be.
I don’t ask them to be.
But sometimes I think about it.
There must be a way.
Surely, there must be a way”

{new fabrics preview}

This past weekend I was able to go shopping at Lens Mill Store (in London Ontario). As I do not often get out there, I was pretty excited to search through their scraps and ends.

I found lovely Japanese print deer fabric, and some polka dot fabric.
I stocked up on felt required for my catopus series that I just started (finished the first one yesterday, his name is Henry and you will all get to see him soon!)
I also found this great bag of aqua and green fake fur, at an absolute steal of a price. This fake fur will definitely be going towards some very cute projects, hopefully before Shock Stock!
Will I ever have enough time to get everything done? 36 Days left!

Still working on the website, which should be up by the end of the weekend (hopefully!). I will also have updates in the next few days with extra photos of previously shown products, as well as some new ones.
xoxo

Well this is certainly very exciting.. I am already planning ways to save pennies in order to buy all of this.
Oh, and just because I haven’t posted a Sailor Moon screen shot for a little while:

Just as I thought Spring was coming.

This past I have been quite excited with the slightly warming weather.. only to wake up yesterday to a blizzard (of sorts) outside. Gah. Thanks Canada.

Since I was stuck inside all day (although admittedly self-inflicted), I decided that it was time to take some photos of what I’ve been working on. This is my latest finished mini-series, this herd of Ultrasauros are so underground that they might not have even existed.

I’m still finishing up the last of the dinosaur trilogy, as well as doing lots of perler beads and plush key chains. I feel a little tiny bit of stress disappear with everything I complete. ^_^

Ultrasauros pillows, available this April 29th- May 1st 2011, at Shock Stock (in London, Ontario).

This is actually a photo from my 365 series, but I bought this lovely little porcelain strawberry pot holder that I can’t wait to grow strawberries in. I want to wait for the weather to be a bit warmer.. so for now it is just waiting.

Breakin’

Finally! My Breakin’ post.. almost a week late (but I have my reasons.. I swear).

So last Wednesday, February 23rd, Vagrancy Films played the 80′s break dance movie Breakin’. I love this movie, and I remember trying to dance like that when I was about 5, in a leotard in front of the TV. So, without much further adieu.. some photo montages of the best moments throughout the night, plus some silly promotional shots the myself, Sweater Eyes, and Britani of Sunflower Skins acting up in the bathroom. Enjoy!
